2008 Gala and Road Race | |

The 2008 Gala and Road race took place on Sunday 22nd June , the elements once again featured highly in the day with stong winds affecting the runers times and the tents on the field, The event this year utilsed the extensive new area of the playing fields and many more people attended to fill the new space, and support the field of 218 runners who enterd the race, 50 more than last year.
As usual the race was run over a 6.5km route between Sprotbrough and Cadeby. | |

Mr Alan Smith, Vice Chair of Sprotbrough and Cusworth Parish Council presented The Annual Achievement Trophy to Eric Hepworth, Scout Leader, for his efforts towards the purchase of the groups new minibus.
The Trophy is awarded annually to a Section, Child or Adult in recognition of achievement or contribution to the group. |
