Deapite the blustery showery weather the scouts and freinds from the village of Sprotbrough turned out to watch the 177 runners who entered the 6.5km road race, the winner Kemp Sapey completing the course in 24min 15sec while braving heavy rain on the 'strait mile' at Cadeby. The race this year was run from a new start and finish pint to acomodate the recently completed childrens play area which was opend by the Parish Council during the afternoon. | |

Cllr Pat Haith, Chair of Sprotbrough and Cusworth Parish Council presented The Annual Achievement Trophy to the Scout Section Who have performed so well this year retaining the district cooking tropy, performing for the royal wedding event and building a road for Crookstone Barn Trust
The Trophy is awarded annually to a Section, Child or Adult in recognition of achievement or contribution to the group. |
