The Centrpiece of our Gala is the annual road race which atracts both serious and not so serious runners from the socut group itself and the village as well as runners from running clubs in the area. The route is over 6.5km taking runners out of the village to nearby Cadbey and returning on a circular route, The race regularly attacts over 150 entrants and on a good day, many more! | |

The Annual Gala is the main fund raising event for Sprotbrough Scouts, it has been held since 1986 on the New Lane Playing fields in the village and regularly attracts a good crowd of visitors to the many attractions including Live Music, Refreshments, and a multiude of stalls and events | |
