Meeting time : Thursday during School terms - 7.00pm to 9.15pm
Meeting place - Upstairs in the Barn, Main Street, Sprotbrough

Uniform : Scout shirt and Necker with Scout Woggle, Scout belt and Trousers, Black Shoes. We would like scouts to turn up in uniform as smartly dressed as possible. This means polished shoes and all the buttons done up on the shirt.

Uniform : Required for the start and end of session - scouts can bring a change of clothes for the activities. It is our policy that if we go anywhere as Scouts, then the uniform should always be worn for travelling.

Subscriptions

These are £30 per term, payable in September, January and April. Cheques are preferred as it helps to identify who has paid. Cheques should be made payable to "67th Doncaster Scout Group"

Activities

We will be teaching the scouts a number of basic scouting skills such as orienteering, camping skills and basic survival techniques. The troop is split into Patrols (usually with 6 scouts in each) and patrol leaders and assistant patrol leaders will be selected and given leadership training.
The Doncaster Danum District, of which we are a part, organises events and competitions which we try to enter. This includes the incident hike, camping and cooking competition amongst quite a busy programme.
We have a minibus which is used to transport the scouts to events or places such as the Metrodome, Climbing, Skiing or Carting etc. When this is used we will charge £1 per Scout for the trip, or more if we are travelling a long distance (such as a camp somewhere)
We try and organise an Annual camp - usually in the Spring Bank Holiday week at the end of May. Other weekends will be arranged should the scouts wish it.
We try and issue a programme of events every half term. Please keep this handy as it carries useful information about what is planned each Thursday
It is Your Scout group
It should be stressed that if there are any activities that Scouts wish to participate in, we will make every effort to work it into the programme if it is possible.

Badges : presented to Scouts on their investiture, then as badges are awarded throughout the year
Investiture : Usually after three visits be new Scouts, parents/guardians will be informed when the ceremony will be,(usually at 9.00pm), so they can attend if they wish.
